About the Role
As a Transactional Tax Director, you will take the lead on a variety of complex tax projects, providing strategic transaction tax advice and managing specialist input where required. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-performing team while further developing your expertise in transaction tax.
Transactional Tax Director Responsibilities
- Lead and manage buy-side and vendor due diligence projects
- Advise on pre-sale structuring and vendor clearances
- Provide buy-side structuring guidance for private equity-backed transactions
- Oversee corporate restructuring, demergers, reorganisations, and management buyouts
- Review and advise on tax implications in Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs)
- Work closely with international firms within the global network to address cross-border tax matters
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the Transaction Tax practice by strengthening client relationships and expanding the firm's network
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering professional development
- Implement processes to enhance risk management and the efficiency of the practice
- Develop and deliver tax technical training sessions for the team
Transactional Tax Director Requirements
- CTA qualification (ACA or ACCA desirable)
- Significant experience in tax advisory, with expertise in corporate and shareholder taxation, structuring, and transactions
- Strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to manage complex projects under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients confidently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to mentor and develop team members
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
