About the Role
As a Corporate Tax Director, you will join a collaborative multi-discipline tax team supported by experienced Partners. You'll help manage and develop the corporate tax team whilst handling a well-established portfolio of clients. This role combines complex compliance work with advisory services in a flexible, hybrid working environment with excellent career development opportunities.
Corporate Tax Director Responsibilities
- Play a key and leading role in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients
- Report to and assist the Tax Partners
- Liaise with Accounts and Audit Directors/Partners to ensure comprehensive tax service delivery
- Manage the Complex Corporate Tax team
- Provide technical and mentoring support to junior Tax team members
- Manage and review complex corporate tax returns
- Act as the point of contact for HMRC, including the Customer Compliance Manager where relevant
- Support clients with handling HMRC investigations
- Remain technically up to date with all relevant tax matters
- Accurately interpret and apply current tax legislation
- Manage work-in-progress on all assignments ensuring regular and timely billing
- Assist with the prompt collection of debtors
- Participate in internal and external presentations
- Assist in developing tax technical materials
- Deliver training on specific corporate tax technical areas where relevant
Corporate Tax Director Requirements
- CTA qualified, ACA or ACCA an advantage
- Significant experience of tax with a focus on large corporate tax compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with people at all levels
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Accurate and able to work well under pressure
- Good problem-solving skills
- Sociable and enjoys being part of a wider team
