Our client is a respected organisation focused on community service and social action. They seek a full-time Business Administration Apprentice to assist with various administrative tasks across multiple departments, including Property, Finance, and Social Action teams.
This Business Administration Apprentice role offers an excellent opportunity for a local candidate to develop a wide range of skills in a professional setting. The position is based in Ashburton, Devon, and the apprenticeship training will be conducted at either Exeter or Plymouth college.
Business Administration Apprentice Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and direct enquiries appropriately
- Maintain filing systems in compliance with UK GDPR guidelines
- Update project monitoring spreadsheets and prepare reports
- Handle information requests and assist with basic report writing
- Liaise with external contacts regarding appointments and meetings
- Support departments with social media and intranet content
- Prepare and modify various documents and correspondence
- Assist with event organisation and administration
- Create content using design tools and conduct research on social issues
Business Administration Apprentice Requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Teams (training available)
- Previous accounts or bookkeeping experience
