About the Role
As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will take the lead on a variety of audit assignments, overseeing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality audit services. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on client work, leadership responsibilities, and professional development opportunities.
Assistant Audit Manager Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct statutory audits for corporate clients, both on-site and in the office
- Lead and manage larger and more complex audit assignments
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth
- Ensure audit procedures are adhered to and maintain quality standards
- Liaise with clients, ensuring a smooth audit process and excellent service delivery
- Identify and resolve technical or client-specific issues, providing effective solutions
- Support senior management and partners on ad hoc projects and advisory assignments
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth
- Review audit work and ensure reports are prepared to a high standard
- Potentially manage a small portfolio of clients
Assistant Audit Manager Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant experience
- Strong experience in statutory audit within a professional practice setting
- Exposure to group audits and consolidated financial statements is beneficial but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
- Experience using automated audit software and financial reporting tools
- Full, clean driving licence with access to a car (desirable but not essential)
